Thanks to the recognition of Hong Kong Government, Ming Fai Group was honored to receive the award “Manufacturing and Industrial Services – Certificate of Merit”.
Ming Fai gives a great importance to environmental protection and actively seek for the innovation in the recycling field. In production and operation, we do our best to reduce carbon emission and seek for a more environmentally friendly business model. Regarding the environmental concerns and needs for greener products being brought up by our hotel customers and end-users, we constantly upgrade our ability to provide customers with professional environmental advice and solutions. Customers can either choose from EPI or other environmental additives in the packaging to achieve degradation, or the latest environmentally friendly materials Bio-pet in design and packaging.
In addition, Ming Fai is exploring a newer and greener business model through cooperation with environmental protection organizations. The Group has started the cooperation with Soap Cycling, a non-profit organization based in Hong Kong, and offers money donation, technical support, equipment donation, production premises and relevant support. Founded by students of the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Hong Kong, Soap Cycling aims at collecting slightly used hotel soaps and other sanitation amenities, and then distributing them to underprivileged families and schools in disadvantaged communities around the world, particularly Asia, via the network comprising various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and charity organizations upon re-sanitization and re-processing.
The "Hong Kong Environment Excellence Award" recognized the efforts made by Ming Fai for the environmental protection. Ming Fai will continue to deliver green message to the public and make greater contribution to environmental protection in future environmental protection undertakings.
